About Ian Herculson

Hello All,

My name is Ian Herculson and I am the owner of GuruMarketer.com.  I write all this stuff!  I am 32 years old and I have been marketing online since I was about 20 years old.  That gives me over a decade of experience and knowledge.  While I’m not rich like so many of my favorite Internet Marketing buddies, I have been able to stay JOB FREE for virtually my entire 20’s and pursue my passions.

Travel.

I have been to Mexico on 3 occassions visiting Puerto Vallarta, Mazattlan, and Playa Del Carmen.  I have cruised from Miami, FL to Grand Cayman Islands & Jamaica.  I bicycled from my current place of residence, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada all the way to Tampa Bay, FL.

I will be able to live in Phoenix, AZ from Jan 2010 to April 2010 just to escape the cold north!

Music.

I started my first band when I was 25 years old in Thunder Bay, Ontario.  Within 1 year my band Divided had the privilege to share the stage with Default, Finger 11, David Usher, The Boston Post, Fefe Dobson & Tom Cochrane.  Deciding to chase my musical dreams I moved back to Edmonton, AB where I have consistently pursued music starting with my second band named Rigveda, this time as a front man.  This band helped me to establish myself in the local music scene in Edmonton landing all the local gigs and eventually led to a try out for my current band.

Hollywood Assassyn.

This band started out on fire.  I was pretty much immediately accepted into this band after one rehearsal and shows were already booked.  After only 4 band rehearsals we played our first show which happened to be a nation wide battle of the bands show.  We placed 1st place out of 28 bands and moved to the city finals with 12 other bands.  A few more practices and a 3 song set later, we placed 1st again and headed off to Calgary for the Regional finals where our path ended and we placed 4th overall in Alberta.  Not bad for our first 3 months being a band.

By our 2nd year as a band we had already shared the stage with Danko Jones and Gob twice, Powerman 5000 & Art of Dying.  We recorded many demo songs and eventually a 5 song EP entitled “The Sick In Me” which you can purchase online from the link.

We were accepted to play the Boonstock & Band Ranch festivals as well as Alberta’s Own Indie festival.  We attracted the interest of a management and promotion company INIRA.org where we were include on a compilation cd entitled CD 4 The Troops which was created to raise funds for Canadian an US troops fighting abroad.  We have also been booked to play Indiefest as the headlining independant band and will share the stage with late Michael Jacksons older brother Tito Jackson.

We had one single “That Side of Me” hit #4 on an Alberta Radio station followed by another single “You Won’t Regret It” hit #1 on the same station where it stayed for 3 weeks as well as reaching #70 in the R&R Charts int he USA.

We are currently awaiting the final mix and master of our 2nd EP, this time only 3 songs with which we hope to attract a premier booking agent and larger venues to play at.

Internet Marketing.

I released 4 of my own personally authored ebooks and software products which have all contributed to my online success and reputation as an ethical and honest marketer who also might know what he’s talking about.

So…what’s next?  I guess I”ll make more money, teach more people what I do, and rock out harder than ever before!
